We are so excited to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year! Our theme this year is Birds of a Feather: Live, Learn, Love, Together—a reminder that while we each bring our own unique talents, we are strongest when we work as one team.
Student Registration
If your child is not yet registered, they are not on a roster and do not have a teacher assigned. Sonia and our registration team will be available:
- Wednesday, Aug. 13: 11:00am–7:00pm
- Thursday, Aug. 14: 11:00am–7:00pm
- Friday, Aug. 15: 9:00am–3:00pm
We strongly encourage you to begin or complete registration at austinisd.org/enroll. For questions, call us at 512-414-4477.
Meet the Teacher Night – Friday, Aug. 15 | 4:30–6:00pm
This is your chance to drop off school supplies and meet your child’s new teacher. Please keep initial conversations to 3–5 minutes so everyone has time to connect. A more in-depth classroom presentation will take place at Back to School Night on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
PTA – Stronger Together!
Our amazing PTA will have a table at Meet the Teacher Night. Please stop by, join, and help support our school. Their hard work last year made a huge impact, and with more members, we can do even more together.
Morning Schedule Reminder
Beginning this year, the front doors will open at 7:15am. Students will be supervised in the cafeteria until 7:30am when we gather for the pledges. Breakfast will begin at 7:35am, and the tardy bell rings at 7:40am. Let’s start the year off strong by being on time every day!
Breakfast & Lunch
REMINDER—breakfast and lunch are free for all St. Elmo students.
Student Pick-Up
Dismissal is at 3:10pm. Please make arrangements to pick up your child on time:
- PK–2: Front of the school
- 3rd–5th: Big parking lot
- Families with children in both groups: Pick up from the Big Lot (older sibling will bring younger sibling over).
Timely pick-up is important as staff supervision is limited after school. If you need after-school care:
- Visit the Sierra Vista/Sierra Ridge table at Meet the Teacher Night.
- Meet the YMCA after-school program team at Back to School Night.
Lunch with Your Child
We ask that families do not come to have lunch with their children until after the first two weeks of school. This is to ensure that all students get a chance to get accustomed to their new routines. We will be welcoming family members who want to eat with their children beginning September 2nd.
Volunteer Training
Our new Parent Support Specialist, Angela Ruiz, will soon share details about volunteer training for field trips, school events, and more. Stay tuned—your involvement makes a big difference.
Principal Coffee & 1st PTA Meeting
Join us for our first Principal Coffee on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 9:00am in the cafeteria—this will also be our first PTA meeting of the year. We hope to see you there!
New Faces & Familiar Friends
We’re welcoming some talented new teachers and staff this year, alongside the return of familiar faces. It’s an exciting time at St. Elmo, and we can’t wait to begin this journey with all of you.

Asunto: Bienvenidos al ciclo escolar 2025-2026 en St. Elmo
Estimada comunidad de St. Elmo:
¡Nos emociona darles la bienvenida al ciclo escolar 2025-2026! Nuestro tema de este año es "Aves del Mismo Plumaje: Vivir, aprender, amar, juntos", un recordatorio de que, si bien cada uno aporta sus propios talentos, somos más fuertes cuando trabajamos en equipo.
Inscripción de estudiantes
Si su hijo/a aún no está inscrito/a, no está en la lista de alumnos ni tiene un maestro/a asignado/a. Sonia y nuestro equipo de inscripción estarán disponibles:
- Miércoles, 13 de agosto: 11:00 a. m. a 7:00 p. m.
- Jueves, 14 de agosto: 11:00 a. m. a 7:00 p. m.
- Viernes, 15 de agosto: 9:00 a. m. a 3:00 p. m.

Noche de Conocer al Maestro – Viernes, 15 de agosto | 4:30–6:00 p. m.
Esta es su oportunidad de entregar los útiles escolares y conocer al nuevo maestro de su hijo/a. Por favor, limiten las conversaciones iniciales a 3-5 minutos para que todos tengan tiempo de conectar. Habrá una presentación más detallada en el aula durante la Noche de Regreso a Clases el martes, 16 de septiembre.
PTA – ¡Juntos somos más fuertes!
Nuestra increíble PTA tendrá una mesa en la Noche de Conocer al Maestro. Por favor, visítenla, únanse y apoyen a nuestra escuela. Su arduo trabajo el año pasado tuvo un gran impacto, y con más miembros, podemos lograr aún más juntos.
Recordatorio del horario matutino
A partir de este año, las puertas principales abrirán a las 7:15 a. m. Los estudiantes estarán supervisados en la cafetería hasta las 7:30 a. m., cuando nos reuniremos para el juramento. El desayuno comenzará a las 7:35 a. m. y la campana de tardanza sonará a las 7:40 a. m. ¡Comencemos el año con fuerza siendo puntuales todos los días!
Desayuno y almuerzo
RECORDATORIO: El desayuno y el almuerzo son gratuitos para todos los estudiantes de St. Elmo.
Recogida de estudiantes
La salida es a las 3:10 p. m. Por favor, haga arreglos para recoger a su hijo/a tiempo:
- Preescolar a 2.º grado: Frente de la escuela
- 3.º a 5.º grado: Estacionamiento grande
- Familias con niños en ambos grupos: Recoger en el estacionamiento grande (el hermano mayor traerá al hermano menor).
Es importante recoger a tiempo, ya que la supervisión del personal es limitada después de clases. Si necesita cuidado después de clases:
- Visite la mesa de Sierra Vista/Sierra Ridge en la Noche de Conocer al Maestro.
- Conozca al equipo del programa extraescolar de la YMCA en la Noche de Regreso a Clases.
Almuerzo con su hijo/a
Les pedimos a las familias que no vengan a almorzar con sus hijos hasta después de las dos primeras semanas de clases. Esto es para asegurar que todos los estudiantes tengan la oportunidad de acostumbrarse a sus nuevas rutinas. Recibiremos a las familias que deseen comer con sus hijos a partir del 2 de septiembre.
Capacitación para Voluntarios
Nuestra nueva Especialista en Apoyo a Padres, Angela Ruiz, pronto compartirá detalles sobre la capacitación para voluntarios en excursiones, eventos escolares y más. Manténganse al tanto: su participación marca una gran diferencia.
Café con el Director y 1.ª Reunión de la PTA
Acompáñenos a nuestro primer Café con el Director el martes 26 de agosto a las 9:00 a. m. en la cafetería. Esta también será nuestra primera reunión de la PTA del año. ¡Esperamos verlos allí!
Caras Nuevas y Amigos Familiares
Este año damos la bienvenida a nuevos maestros y personal con talento, junto con el regreso de caras conocidas. Es un momento emocionante en St. Elmo, y estamos ansiosos por comenzar este viaje con todos ustedes.
