Brailsford & Dunlavey, the district’s planning consultant for facilities, is conducting a survey to determine the best ways to engage Austin community members in the facility and bond planning processes. The survey will be open through April 17, 2016.
We'd like to send out a big thank you to the Oak Hill Rotary Club for the gift of dictionaries (3rd), atlases (4th), and thesauri (5th gr.). Our students will use them well!
The Bling T-shirt we recently advertised has been redesigned. The new shirt is black with blue and silver glittered lettering. Order yours by October 30!
October 26 - October 30 is St. Elmo Red Ribbon Week. Students will receive their red ribbons from their classroom teachers on Monday morning.
Representatives from the Austin Ed Fund grant committee visited our school this morning to surprise our Instructional Coach Becky Ward (the grant author) with the news that our Austin Ed Fund grant called "Reader to Reader" is one of 15 grants (of 55 submissions)
Unity Day was held on October 21. It is a day when students and staff wear orange to send a message of support to students who have been bullied. Students and teachers also discuss the meaning of unity and how we show kindness in our classes.
